10+ Hours and Overtime Victories

Wow, Ada had her best night ever last night. She's been struggling to sleep well at nights for the last two months (ever since she moved into her crib), but last night she slept for over 10 hours straight! She's had three 9-hour nights this week also, so I think she's finally getting the hang of it. Too bad I didn't sleep well, though. I think Tyler and I both have sleeping problems. I have trouble falling asleep and sleeping with any noises around me, and Tyler moves around in his sleep a ton. This often keeps me awake (or even wakes me up). Tyler always seems tired after he wakes up, so his quality of sleep must not be very good. I don't think our health insurance would cover sleep specialists, though, so we're just going to have to deal with it I guess!

On a different note, did anyone watch the Fiesta Bowl last night? Wow, what an exciting game! Boise State played Oklahoma in one of the most exciting games in recent history. Boise State led most of the game, but let Oklahoma tie it up with just over a minute left on a touchdown and 2-point conversion. Oklahoma then took a 7-point lead on an interception that was run in for a touchdown. Boise State faced 4th and 18 at midfield and scored on a trick play with 7 seconds remaining. In overtime, Oklahoma scored on a 25-yard touchdown run on their first play. Boise State moved the ball but faced 4th and 2 inside the 5. They snapped to a running back, who threw a touchdown pass and cut the lead to one. Instead of kicking the PAT and sending it to double overtime, they went for 2. Zabransky faked a throw and handed it to Ian Johnson, who ran it in untouched for the victory. So Boise State finished the season undefeated and became the second team ever to bust the BCS and come out victorious. I have a lot of problems with the BCS, but I'm glad Boise State was able to tack one up for the little guys.

Hey Al. I bet you didn't know I was watching you guys ;) Just have to comment on the Fiesta Bowl. That had to be one of my favorite games ever. So amazing. I really hope it messes up the BCS. I am glad to see you are blogging it up. It gives me something to read at work and I get an update on everyone's lives. Good stuff!
