August 2013

The girls were in school in August, but that didn't stop us from having lots of fun!

I went to Much Ado About Nothing with Abby at the Broadway. We love the Kenneth Branagh version, and we enjoyed this one as well

The girls spend so much time at the table coloring and drawing

Crazy girl put on her sister's undies!

Cuties

Tyler turned 32. The girls were so excited to give him this giant box of Nerds. I always make him a carrot cake for his b-day. This year we enjoyed it with his family for Sunday dinner, so on his actual birthday he requested Pumpkin Pie Dessert Squares

One of the lighting reps that Tyler works with invited us to a magic show/face painting party

Tyler's cousin Derek got married and I thought this pic at the reception of the girls with their cousins was precious

We watched a neighbor girl for a little while and Lyla was obsessed with her. She just wanted to hold her, even though they were almost the same size! Alexa was happy for most of the time but got a little upset after a while. I love the concerned look on Ly's face in this pic

Precious sleepy girl

We went to a Bee's game. We got there early enough that the girls could ride the train

We went to Spectrum's annual Lagoon day. We met up with the Morrow's, who have season passes, and had a grand ol' time

Our anniversary is July 31, but we finally got around to celebrating it in August. It was our 10-year, so Tyler went all out! He surprised me with some lovely tanzanite and white gold earrings. His parents were kind enough to watch our kids while we ate dinner at Log Haven and spent the night at Stein Eriksen Lodge. We had a lovely time!

It was a very busy months specially for still having the girls both in school. I love that you got to get away for your anniversary. Those dinner plates are HUGE specially Tyler's wow! Lyla is so cute at smiling for the camera in all the pictures and her concerned look while holding the crying baby is priceless, hehe! Love it!!
