The day before her birthday, she received a postcard in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Squire. She was so excited to get her very own piece of mail!
Lyla got to open a few presents in the morning on her big day.
Her sisters had soccer games that morning, so she patiently played games while watching
In her new birthday dress. Her cousin Sophie got baptized that day, so we all got dressed up for that
After the baptism I assembled Lyla's pumpkin cake at the Whitesides' house. It was pumpkin with cream cheese frosting, with a chocolate banana stem!
Later that day, we had Lyla's party at Chuck E. Cheese's. She was so happy to play with all her cousins! She couldn't have been more thrilled

Lyla asked for Twinkle Toes (Skechers shoes that light up) like her sisters'. She also got a Lego Duplos Cinderella castle
Lyla had her 3-year check-up at the doctor a few days later. Everything looked great! She moved up from the 0th percentile in weight to the 6th, and the 2nd to the 5th in height. She's still our little runt!
About a week after her birthday we took her to Build-A-Bear for one last present. We thought about going after her party, but we were all so beat by the end! It was nice to stretch things out a bit. Lyla picked a Fluttershy My Little Pony and had fun putting her together and taking care of her
Lyla is just the best little addition to our family! We are so lucky to have her!
